- Normalized EBITDA of EUR 22.4 million in 9M 2022

- Sales strategy even more strongly geared to LR partner income opportunities in times of falling real wages
Ahlen, November 30, 2022 – LR Global Holding GmbH, Europe’s leading digital social selling company in the area of high-quality health and care products, today publishes its figures for the third quarter of 2022 and for the first nine months of the 2022 financial year. In the third quarter of 2022, the LR Group recorded a positive sales trend despite market conditions in important target markets remaining challenging, and gradually approached the previous year’s strong sales figures. This is reflected accordingly by the sales generated in the third quarter of 2022, which at EUR 65.1 million re-approached the level of the record 2021 year (previous year: EUR 67.7 million) and thus was only 3.7 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year. This was especially due to the pleasing trend in the important home market of Germany. Overall, the LR Group achieved sales (revenue from goods sold) of EUR 196.6 million in the first nine months of 2022. This corresponds to a decrease of 11.0 percent compared with the exceptionally strong prior-year period (previous year: EUR 220.8 million), which was characterised by positive effects from the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in the first two quarters.
Furthermore, the LR Group achieved normalized EBITDA of EUR 22.4 million in the first nine months of 2022, compared with EUR 30.1 million in the same period of the previous year. In addition to the exceptionally strong revenue in the prior-year period, this reduction is also particularly due to non-recurring IT expenses arising from the implementation of a project to renew the ERP system and the eShop.
Dr. Andreas Laabs, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LR Health & Beauty SE, comments: “With the launch of ZEITGARD Pro for facial care in the third quarter of 2022, we enjoyed the most successful product launch in our company’s history to date. Most importantly, we see that our focus on our strategic actions and income opportunities for LR Partners is paying off in full given the current overall economic situation. Many new partners are taking advantage of the opportunity at LR to add a further source of income and thereby secure their standard of living. By further digitalising our processes and offerings, we are creating the conditions for the LR Group’s future growth and at the same time improving the overall framework for our partners to successfully develop their careers at LR.”
Concentration on process improvements and greater focusing of the sales strategy on income opportunities
In the meantime, LR Group is continuing to create the conditions for the company’s sustained and successful development and growth. Construction of the new logistics centre with modern picking and shipping technology at the company’s site in Ahlen is progressing to schedule. As part of this project, LR will further automate and digitalise logistics processes so that orders can be processed even faster in the future. In addition to a further product launch planned for the first quarter of 2023, LR is also capitalising on the development potential of its partner network. With the new bonus program Fast Track 5.0, LR now provides even greater support for new sales partners’ career development. Under the motto “Do This – Get That”, salespeople can achieve a guaranteed bonus of up to EUR 30,000 per year for successful business generation.
Based on the financial results for the first nine months of 2022, LR Group is now specifying its sales guidance for the 2022 financial year at the upper end of the guidance range and now expects sales to lie in the range between EUR 265 million and EUR 270 million. The earnings guidance is also now being made more specific with EBITDA reported now expected in a range between EUR 24 million and EUR 30 million.
The report for the third quarter of 2022 is available online today on the company’s website at https://ir.lrworld.com/.

LR Group with a solid performance in first half of 2022 despite challenging market conditions
LR Group with a solid performance in first half of 2022 despite challenging market conditions
- Group sales on a preliminary basis in the first half of 2022 at EUR 131.5 million
- Normalized EBITDA of EUR 16.5 million
- Business continues to be impacted by the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war
- Sales offensive and upcoming new product launches pave the way for a promising second half-year
Ahlen, 10 August 2022 – LR Global Holding GmbH, the leading digitally-enabled social selling company in the area of high-quality health and beauty products, has announced the results of its business performance in the first half of financial year 2022. Based on preliminary figures, the LR Group generated sales (sales from goods sold) of EUR 131.5 million in the first six months of 2022. This represents a decline of 14.2% compared to the extraordinarily strong previous year’s figure (previous year: EUR 153.2 million). While the COVID-19 pandemic had a positive effect on demand in the first half of the previous year, the general consumer mood was noticeably subdued in the second quarter of the current financial year against the backdrop of the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war and increased consumer prices. This had a corresponding effect on the development of sales in the second quarter, in which the LR Group achieved sales of EUR 62.9 million (previous year: EUR 73.7 million).
Furthermore, the LR Group achieved normalized EBITDA of EUR 16.5 million in the first half of 2022, compared to EUR 22.7 million in the same period of the previous year. This decrease is mainly due to lower sales compared to the previous year.
“In the first half of the year, we have seen that the effects of the war in Ukraine and the consequences of inflation are negatively affecting economic growth. This is accompanied by restrained consumer behaviour in the European markets. As LR Group, we were able to ensure the ability to deliver our products in the first half of the year despite the challenges in the supply chain, also thanks to forward-looking procurement management. In addition, we have turned important levers in the company and were thus able to consistently raise cost reduction potentials. We will continue to pay special attention to this in view of the challenging framework conditions,” said Valdemaras Gordinskis, Vice President Global Controlling and Investor Relations of LR Group.
LR Group prepares product launch for autumn
The LR Group continues to focus on creating the conditions for a sustainably successful company development. A sales offensive in numerous markets is planned for the second half of the year. On the one hand, LR will continue the intensified sales activities for Aloe Vera products on the occasion of their 20th anniversary. In doing so, the partners can draw on a range of currently around 60 Aloe Vera products. On the other hand, various initiatives are running under the motto “Crazy Summer” to support the partners in developing their business in the best possible way.
“LR’s business model has proven to be very robust in difficult economic times. Due to persistently high inflation, many people are looking for additional income. LR offers a unique opportunity to achieve this very goal. With our sales offensive and the planned launch of new products, we are creating optimal conditions for our partners’ success,” commented Dr. Andreas Laabs, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LR Health & Beauty SE.
For the current financial year 2022, the LR Group now expects sales (sales from goods sold) in the range of EUR 260 million to EUR 270 million. Furthermore, EBITDA reported is expected in a range of EUR 22 million to EUR 30 million.
This forecast is based on the assumption that the effects of the war in Ukraine and inflation in the second half of the year will not lead to significant unexpected effects on the LR Group’s business. In this context, it cannot be completely ruled out that a further increase in consumer restraint could also have a noticeable negative impact on the LR Group’s business development.
Overall, the LR Group is currently confronted with global macroeconomic conditions that are difficult to assess. In order to take the resulting uncertainty regarding future business development into account in the best possible way, LR is considering to adjust the financial covenants of the 2021/2025 bond issued by LR Global Holding.
The final figures for the first half of 2022 will be published on the company’s website at https://ir.lrworld.com/ at the end of August.

LR Group off to a solid start in financial year 2022
LR Group off to a solid start in financial year 2022
- Group sales amount to EUR 68.6 million in first quarter of 2022
- Normalised EBITDA at EUR 9.6 million
- Effects of the Russia-Ukraine conflict impact business activities
Ahlen, 31 May 2022 – LR Global Holding GmbH, Europe’s leading digital social selling company in the area of high-quality health and care products, published its figures for the first quarter of financial year 2022 today. According to these, the LR Group managed to achieve sales (revenue from sold goods) of EUR 68.6 million in the first three months of 2022. This represents a decline of 13.7% compared to the extraordinarily strong quarter of the previous year (previous year: EUR 79.5 million), which was characterised by positive effects in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. By contrast, the general consumer mood cooled noticeably in the spring of 2022 against the backdrop of the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war and higher consumer prices.
Furthermore, the LR Group achieved normalised EBITDA of EUR 9.6 million in the first quarter of 2022, compared to EUR 11.3 million in the same period of the previous year. This decline is essentially due to the lower sales compared to the previous year.
“The LR Group started into the new financial year as expected. With the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war at the end of February, the general conditions have also changed considerably for our company. The economic growth we had anticipated is being slowed down by the effects of the war in Ukraine. The resulting uncertainty as well as the consequences of the currently rising inflation can be felt in all European markets. We are working hard to manage the challenges on the procurement side for the LR Group and to ensure that our products can be supplied. Under the given circumstances, we were successful at this in the first quarter,” explained Valdemaras Gordinskis, Vice President Global Controlling and Investor Relations of the LR Group.
LR Group drives business activities forward
In the meantime, the LR Group is concentrating on creating the conditions for the company’s sustainable successful development. This includes the construction of a new logistics centre with modern picking and shipping technology at its site in Ahlen. As part of this project, LR will further automate its logistics processes so that orders can be processed even faster in the future. On the product side, the focus in the current financial year is on intensified sales activities for its aloe vera products – an LR trademark since 2002. The product range currently comprises around 60 products containing aloe vera and the range is constantly being expanded.
“Despite the more difficult general conditions, we will continue to drive our business activities forward and support our partners in the individual markets in the best possible way. On the occasion of our 20th anniversary this year, we will focus on our aloe vera products, which are a true success story for LR. More than 72 million bottles of Aloe Vera Drinking Gels alone have already been sold. In these challenging times, we are once again focusing on a close exchange with our partners, whether through the established digital channels or our Business Days, which were recently held in Germany and met with a great response. Overall, we see ourselves well positioned and will continue to drive the important strategic topics forward,” added Dr. Andreas Laabs, who took over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LR Health & Beauty SE on 27 May 2022 and thus assumed management responsibility for the entire LR Group.

LR Group confirms growth trend in financial year 2021
LR Group confirms growth trend in financial year 2021
- Group sales in 2021 increased by 4.0% to EUR 296.2 million
- EBITDA reported at the upper end of the earnings forecast at EUR 36.8 million
- Construction of the new logistics centre creates the basis for future growth
- Effects of the Russia-Ukraine conflict not fully assessable
Ahlen, 29 April 2022 – LR Global Holding GmbH, Europe’s leading digital social selling company in the area of high-quality health and care products, published its final, audited figures for financial year 2021 today, confirming the positive, preliminary figures for the past reporting year. According to these figures, the LR Group was able to increase its sales (merchandise revenues) by 4.0% to EUR 296.2 million in financial year 2021 (previous year: EUR 284.9 million) and continue its growth course after an extraordinarily strong previous year. All regions contributed positively to the development of sales in 2021.
Furthermore, based on final figures, the LR Group achieved normalised EBITDA of EUR 41.6 million in financial year 2021, compared to EUR 42.5 million in the same period of the previous year. In addition, the company improved its EBITDA reported slightly to EUR 36.8 million (previous year: EUR 36.7 million). This was at the upper end of the forecast for EBITDA reported of EUR 33 million to EUR 37 million for 2021.
“The LR Group developed successfully and further strengthened its market position in 2021. This is reflected not least in the record sales achieved in 2021. Despite the tense situation on the procurement market, we were always able to meet the increased demand for our products. We will continue to pay special attention to forward-looking management of our inventories in view of the disrupted supply chains. On the product side, with the launch of the LR Soul of Nature brand, we managed to expand our portfolio to include a select range of natural essential fragrance blends,” explained Dr Andreas Laabs, CFO and COO of LR Global Holding GmbH.
LR Group sets course for sustainable growth
In the past financial year, the LR Group set the course for a sustainably successful development of the company. This also included strengthening the LR Group’s capital market capability. LR Health & Beauty SE was established as the new parent company of the LR Group and the equity capitalisation was also significantly improved by reclassifying the shareholder loan as a contribution to the free capital reserve.
As another strategic initiative, LR continued to invest in the digitalisation of its business model in the reporting year in order to meet the growing demand among younger target audiences. With the rollout of the LR Connect App and the Report Creator, partners have digital access to the latest information on LR and practical tools. Internally, the new social intranet will help employees to inform themselves even better and to enter into a dialogue. Another focal point is the “Logistics 4.0” project, which was initiated together with the Theodor F. Leifeld Foundation. A new logistics centre equipped with modern picking and shipping technology is being built at the company’s site in Ahlen. As part of this, LR will further automate its logistics processes so that orders can be processed even faster in the future. After the foundation stone was laid last December, construction work has been in full swing since the beginning of 2022 and is scheduled for completion in October of this year.
Outlook for 2022
“As the LR Group, we started the new financial year in line with our expectations.
After achieving extraordinarily strong sales growth in the first quarter of the previous year, also due to positive effects in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the LR Group is facing more difficult conditions in the current year. Since the end of February, the Russia-Ukraine conflict has also had an impact on our business activities, which we are not yet able to fully assess. In addition, rising raw material prices and the reduced availability of raw materials continue to pose a challenge. However, as the LR Group, we see ourselves fundamentally well positioned and able to ensure the supply capability of our products also in the months ahead. We continue to work emphatically in all markets to support our partners – especially in Ukraine – in the best possible way,” commented Dr Andreas Laabs on the development to date and the outlook for the current financial year 2022.
The 2021 Annual Report is available online as of today on the company’s website at https://ir.lrworld.com/.

LR Group achieves new sales record in fiscal year 2021
LR Group achieves new sales record in fiscal year 2021
- Group sales in 2021 increased by 4.0% to EUR 296.2 million
- Fourth quarter of 2021 contributes EUR 75.5 million to total sales in 2021
- Normalised EBITDA of EUR 41.6 million
- Expansion in 2021 successfully driven by market entry in South Korea and the launch of new brands
Ahlen, 28 February 2022 – LR Global Holding GmbH, Europe’s leading digital social selling company in the area of high-quality health and care products, released its preliminary figures for the fourth quarter and the full year 2021 today. Following an exceptionally strong previous year, LR Group continued its dynamic growth trajectory and achieved record sales (revenue from goods sold) of EUR 296.2 million in fiscal year 2021. This equates to growth of 4.0% compared to sales of EUR 284.9 million the previous year. The LR Group succeeded in increasing its sales in all regions in 2021. In the final quarter of 2021, the company generated sales of EUR 75.5 million, thus recording the second-best fourth quarter in its history after the extraordinarily strong quarter of the previous year (EUR 78.7 million). The lockdown and the resulting change in consumer behavior gave LR’s business additional positive impetus in the final quarter of 2020.
Furthermore, on a preliminary basis, the LR Group achieved normalised EBITDA of EUR 41.6 million in fiscal year 2021, compared to EUR 42.5 million in the same period of the previous year. EBITDA reported increased slightly from EUR 36.7 million to EUR 36.8 million in 2021. The company was thus able to meet its guidance for EBITDA reported issued for fiscal year 2021.
As Dr. Andreas Laabs, CFO and COO of LR Global Holding GmbH, explains: “We successfully continued our positive business development in 2021 and achieved new record sales despite the challenging market conditions. Thanks to the early restocking of our inventories, we were able to meet the demand for our products in the final quarter as usual. Christmas business was very good overall and also raised more than EUR 105,000 for the LR Global Kids Fund as part of our charity commitment. Nevertheless, at the beginning of 2022, we see a continued tense situation on the global procurement market and the trend of rising costs for raw materials and energy. In the course of strict cost and resource management, we will focus our attention on maneuvering the LR Group through these difficult waters in the best possible way.”
Prerequisites created for the future success of the company
In the past fiscal year, the LR Group set the course for the sustainable successful development of the company. With its successful market entry in South Korea, LR was able to drive its international expansion and tap into the Asian market. The signs are also pointing to growth on the product side: With the launch of the LR Soul of Nature brand, LR has expanded its product portfolio to include a selected range of natural essential fragrance blends, and the company entered the sports segment with its new fitness brand LR:GO in February of this year.
“In the year under review, we made further progress in creating the structures for the future growth of the LR Group and strengthening our capital market capability. On the one hand, LR Health & Beauty SE was established as the new parent company of the LR Group. Secondly, the shareholder transferred the shareholder loans as a contribution to the free capital reserve of LR Global Holding GmbH in November. As a result of this reclassification, the equity capitalisation has improved significantly as of the reporting date,” said Dr. Andreas Laabs.
The report for the fourth quarter of 2021 is available online as of today on the company’s website at https://ir.lrworld.com/. The final, audited figures for fiscal year 2021 will be published with the Annual Report on the company website at the end of April 2022.

LR Group grows significantly and successfully continues strategic initiatives aimed at future growth
LR Group grows significantly and successfully continues strategic initiatives aimed at future growth
- Group sales increased by 7.1% to EUR 220.9 million in first nine months of 2021
- Normalised EBITDA at EUR 30.1 million
- LR Soul of Nature brand for essential oils successfully launched
- Foundation stone for new logistics centre to be laid this year
- Positive outlook for financial year 2021 confirmed
Ahlen, 30 November 2021 – LR Global Holding GmbH, Europe’s leading digital social selling company in the area of high-quality health and care products, has achieved significant sales growth in the first nine months of 2021 and thus continued on its dynamic growth course. In the first nine months of 2021, the LR Group achieved sales (merchandise revenue) of EUR 220.8 million, which equates to growth of 7.1% compared to sales of EUR 202.2 million in the same period of the previous year. The LR Group managed to increase its sales in all regions in the first nine months. In addition, normalised EBITDA for the first three quarters of 2021 amounted to EUR 30.1 million, compared to EUR 30.7 million in the same period of the previous year.
“We successfully continued on our growth course in the first nine months of 2021. Nevertheless, it has become apparent that consumer behaviour has changed again this summer compared to the previous year in view of the advancing vaccination campaign and easing of restrictions by politicians. As expected, sales and earnings in the third quarter were lower than last year, after an exceptionally strong third quarter against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. All in all, we continued to develop very successfully even during the pandemic and are confident that we will even be able to achieve new record turnover in financial year 2021,” explained Dr. Andreas Laabs, CFO and COO of LR Global Holding GmbH.
In the third quarter, the LR Group continued to focus on consistently pursuing its strategic initiatives and setting the course for sustainable successful company development. Before the end of this year, the already established LR Health & Beauty SE is to be established as the new parent company of the LR Group
in order to facilitate access to the capital market and promote future growth. In this context, the shareholder will transfer the shareholder loans as a contribution to the free capital reserve of LR Global Holding GmbH. As another strategic initiative, LR is continuously investing in the digitalisation of its business model to meet the growing demand among young target audiences. The rollout of the LR Connect app, which also went live in the Benelux countries in October, is progressing and will be completed at the beginning of 2022. The app will enable the community to access the latest information on the product range as well as marketing toolboxes for sales activation with the end consumer.
New product category LR Soul of Nature successfully launched
Furthermore, the LR Group has expanded its portfolio of high-quality products. Fragrances have always been an integral and successful part of the product portfolio. Now, a new range of natural essential fragrance blends has been successfully launched under the LR Soul of Nature brand. The LR Soul of Nature product portfolio includes eight 100 percent natural essential oils and four aroma mood worlds with four to five care products each. In total, LR currently sells more than 300 products from the areas of health and beauty through its community of around 300,000 members.
“The new LR Soul of Nature product category underscores our expertise in fragrances and ideally complements our portfolio of natural health and care products. In order to be able to meet the demand for our products even better in the future, we will build a modern logistics centre with the latest picking and shipping technology at the Ahlen site. This will enable us to further automate logistics processes in order to process orders even faster in the future. We started construction work on the 3,000 square metre building in October with the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony,” said Dr. Andreas Laabs.
For the current financial year 2021, the management confirms the forecast published in the 2020 Annual Financial Report and continues to expect a slight increase in revenues. As LR increased its inventories at an early stage in view of the tense situation on the global procurement market, the company considers itself well prepared for the growth planned. In addition, based on the results for the first three quarters of 2021, management is concretising its earnings forecast and expects EBITDA (reported) in the corridor of EUR 33.0 million to EUR 37.0 million for 2021. In principle, the forecast remains unchanged under the assumption that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the scope of which still cannot be fully assessed, will not have any significant impact on the LR Group’s business.
The report for the third quarter of 2021 is available online from today on the company’s website at https://ir.lrworld.com/.
